Electrical Engineering and Automation

信息来源: 发布日期:2025-11-06

The undergraduate program was formally established in 2004 and admitted its first cohort of students in 2005. Through sustained investment in curriculum reform, faculty development, and laboratory construction, the program has achieved steady growth in academic quality and educational outcomes. It has been recognized as a National First-Class Undergraduate Program, reflecting its leading position in undergraduate engineering education in China.

The program aims to cultivate high-level engineers to meet the growing demand in energy, power, and intelligent industrial systems. It aligns closely with national strategies in renewable energy, smart grids, and advanced manufacturing, while emphasizing international standards and global engineering practices. The curriculum covers core areas such as electrical circuits, electronics, power systems, power electronics, control theory, and electrical automation, complemented by advanced courses and practical training in industrial power distribution, intelligent control, and energy conversion.

A key strength of the program is its strong integration of education, research, and industry. Supported by well-equipped laboratories and research platforms, students gain hands-on experience in real engineering scenarios, particularly in complex and energy-intensive industrial environments. The program emphasizes green, low-carbon, and sustainable development, preparing students to contribute to global energy transformation and technological innovation.

The program is delivered by a highly qualified faculty team with strong academic credentials and extensive industry experience. Faculty members are actively engaged in national and provincial research projects as well as industry collaborations, providing students with research-based learning opportunities and close academic mentorship.

Student development is at the core of the program. Emphasis is placed on innovation capability, problem-solving skills, teamwork, and communication. Students are encouraged to participate in academic competitions, engineering design projects, and innovation activities, achieving excellent results at national and regional levels. Through extensive international cooperation and exchange programs, students are offered opportunities to broaden their global perspective and enhance international competitiveness.

Graduates of Electrical Engineering and Automation enjoy excellent career prospects. They are highly sought after in power generation and distribution, smart grids, industrial automation, electrical equipment manufacturing, and related industries. Many graduates also pursue further studies at leading universities in China and abroad. The program consistently maintains high graduate employment rates and strong outcomes in both professional placement and postgraduate education.
