报告人简介：

Dr.Scott Yam is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electricaland Computer Engineering at Queen's University, Canada. He received the B.Eng.degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterlooin Canada (1998), and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineeringfrom Stanford University (2000, 2004) in the USA. He is a member of theInstitute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Dr. Yam has over 60technical journal and conference publications, as well as 2 patents and 1pending patent application. He has also served as reviewer for PhotonicsTechnologies Letters (PTL) , Journal of Optics A (JOPA), and OpticsCommunications, and is a recipient of the Young Scientist Award and StudentPaper Award from the IEEE LEO Japan Chapter.
